Santa Claus is Coming to Your Town Library!

Save the date: you don’t want to miss this extra special holiday event.
From 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, join Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as Library staff and members of the Bethany Lions Club, in the Library’s Community Room downstairs for holiday crafts and a Christmas cookie – and don’t forget to get a picture with the Clauses!

Stop by the Children’s Room and take one of our Thankful Turkey Activity Kits home to complete as a family! Decorate the turkey’s body, then discuss what you are thankful for. Write each answer on a colored feather and attach to your turkey – feel free to add more feathers than we included if you have a lot of thanks to give! Once all the feathers are attached, hang the finished turkey prominently in your home for Thanksgiving.

All supplies are included in the activity bag. Please take only one bag per family – supplies are limited, and we want to share this fun holiday activity with as many people as possible!

Clark Memorial Library will be closed Thursday, June 19th for Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, which commemorates the announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 – officially ending slavery in the Confederate states. Although it became a federal holiday in 2021, celebration of Juneteenth has existed in some form since 1866. We wish everyone a pleasant holiday!
