Starting January 9, Clark Memorial Library will once again be open on Fridays, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM! We hope you’ll take the opportunity to stop by and enjoy everything we have to offer more often!

The Library’s Nifty Needlers program will have a new schedule this year. Beginning January 8, meetings will take place on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Meetings will continue to take place in the Adult Books area to the right of the main desk; no prior experience is necessary, and materials are provided. Bring your latest needlework project or learn to knit or crochet with fellow “needlers”!

Clark Memorial Library will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 & Thursday, December 25 for Christmas; we will be open our usual hours on Saturday, December 27. Happy holidays!

The holidays are upon us! If you’re looking for an end-of-year recipe or craft, stop by the reading area upstairs to browse our curated collection of holiday magazines; this assortment includes holiday editions past and present, all of which can be checked out just like our regular periodicals. Be sure to take a look next time you’re here!

Homeschool Hangouts

Thanks to the positive reception it’s received, the Library’s Homeschool Hangouts program has been extended through May of 2026! It will continue to be scheduled on the third Thursday of each month – stop by between 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM to take part. Meet other home-schooled patrons and their families, and enjoy all that the Library has to offer together!

And don’t forget, the last Homeschool Hangouts meeting of 2025 will take place next week, on Thursday, December 18. We hope to see you there!

The Library will close at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, and be closed on Thursday, November 27 for Thanksgiving. We will be open our usual hours on Saturday, November 29.

Happy holidays, and be sure to grab your Thanksgiving reading material ahead of time!

Stop by the Children’s Room and take one of our Thankful Turkey Activity Kits home to complete as a family! Decorate the turkey’s body, then discuss what you are thankful for. Write each answer on a colored feather and attach to your turkey – feel free to add more feathers than we included if you have a lot of thanks to give! Once all the feathers are attached, hang the finished turkey prominently in your home for Thanksgiving.

All supplies are included in the activity bag. Please take only one bag per family – supplies are limited, and we want to share this fun holiday activity with as many people as possible!

With Thanksgiving around the corner, we’ve filled our book displays with countless tasty treats! Whether fiction or non-fiction, mystery or adventure or fantasy, every literary morsel has some connection to food or its role in our lives – some even come with recipes you can try out for yourself.
