Get automatic text notifications with Shoutbomb!
Shoutbomb is a free SMS service that automatically lets you know when materials you’ve checked out are due and when materials you have on hold are ready for pickup at the library. You can also request a list of materials you have checked out, renew items, and more from your cell phone using its various service commands!
The only information you’ll need to provide when signing up is your phone number and library card barcode. Individual alerts, and even your entire subscription, can be canceled at any time using the service commands. Take Your Child to the Library Day is a celebration of the opportunities and benefits that children receive from libraries, from simple access to books, films, and online media, to fun activities and chances to learn and socialize. Founded in 2011 at the Waterford Public Library in Connecticut, it has grown into a global event involving thousands of libraries. Bethany Book Club has returned! The Book Club will convene on the first-floor Meeting Room on Tuesday, January 17, at 2:00 PM. The book to be discussed at the first meeting is The Dutch House, by Anne Patchett. Please join organizer Cate Horton for light refreshments and lively discussion.
