New Service – Shoutbomb
Get automatic text notifications with Shoutbomb!
Shoutbomb is a free SMS service that automatically lets you know when materials you’ve checked out are due and when materials you have on hold are ready for pickup at the library. You can also request a list of materials you have checked out, renew items, and more from your cell phone using its various service commands!
The only information you’ll need to provide when signing up is your phone number and library card barcode. Individual alerts, and even your entire subscription, can be canceled at any time using the service commands. For a more in-depth explanation of Shoutbomb’s services and instructions for signing up, visit our Shoutbomb page.
Take Your Child to the Library Day 2023
Take Your Child to the Library Day is a celebration of the opportunities and benefits that children receive from libraries, from simple access to books, films, and online media, to fun activities and chances to learn and socialize. Founded in 2011 at the Waterford Public Library in Connecticut, it has grown into a global event involving thousands of libraries. To learn more about the event, its history, and the importance of libraries in children’s lives, visit the official Take your Child to the Library Day website – and stop in at Clark Memorial Library from February 1st to February 4th to enter our TYCLD Book Basket Raffle!
