For the next few weeks we will be highlighting our fabulous LION Catalog system. Drop in for a short hands-on lesson with a staff member to learn how you can use the catalog from home to effectively search for new titles, place holds and renew existing loans, and take advantage of your library account’s many useful features!
Lessons are available between 2:00 & 4:00 PM on Saturdays.
Shoutbomb is a free SMS service that automatically lets you know when materials you’ve checked out are due and when materials you have on hold are ready for pickup at the library. You can also request a list of materials you have checked out, renew items, and more from your cell phone using its various service commands!
The only information you’ll need to provide when signing up is your phone number and library card barcode. Individual alerts, and even your entire subscription, can be canceled at any time using the service commands. The LION Consortium has compiled lists of its top circulated items of 2022! Check the lists for books and large print below to see what many of your fellow patrons were reading this year, and make sure to check Hoopla, Libby, and Palace for eBook and audiobook editions. Palace even has a special “Top 22 of 2022” collection in its catalog containing almost all of the entries on both lists!
