Next week’s summer Makerspace activities will be “Fish Windsocks” on Wednesday, July 5th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM, and “Make Your Own Rainstick” on Saturday, July 8th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Children will create paper windsocks in the shape of fish on Wednesday, and create rainsticks from paper tubes on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
We have an extra-special summer Makerspace activity planned for July: The All Together Now! House-Building Project is an all-ages program that will take place from July 19th to July 29th; stop in during Library hours and create a model house to add to the growing town of Clarkville. We can’t wait to see all of your creations!
Next week’s summer Makerspace activities will be “Build-A-Bracelet” on Wednesday, June 28th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM, and “Paint A Birdhouse!” on Saturday, July 1st, 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Children will customize snap-on Color-Me bracelets on Wednesday, and decorate miniature birdhouses on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
The Bethany Community School LEGO Club will be meeting at Clark Memorial Library on Thursdays, starting June 29th! This summer program is open to patrons of all ages; drop-in is from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. There will be free-building every week, and special building challenges will also be announced throughout the summer by the Club’s organizers. We have both LEGO and DUPLO blocks. Stop by and get creative!
Next week’s summer Makerspace activities will be “Design Your Own Keepsake Box” on Wednesday, June 21st, 12:30 – 4:30 PM, and “Decorating Flying Discs” on Saturday, June 24th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Children will decorate and color round kraftboard boxes on Wednesday, and decorate miniature Frisbees on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
Have you seen our “All Together Now!” displays? We have books for Pride Month, Juneteenth and African American Music Appreciation Month, Flag Day, and National PTSD Awareness Month, as well as ones about the history of the United States in general. It’s a celebration of all the people who have helped to create America as we know it, those who continue to defend it, and everyone who calls it home today. Be sure to stop by and take a look!
There are four special activities taking place this summer at Clark Memorial Library: the Friends of the Library’s Croquet Our Way event on June 17th, our Teddy Bear Tea children’s event on June 22nd, the All Together Now! House-Building Project in July, and the Fourth Annual Public Art Exhibit on August 6th. Next week’s summer Makerspace activities will be “Yarn Art!” on Wednesday, June 14th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM, and “Personalized Chalkboards” on Saturday, June 17th, 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Children will create colorful pictures using yarn boards on Wednesday, and decorate handheld chalkboards that come with a piece of chalk and sponge eraser on Saturday. We hope to see you there!

Children will color and decorate personalized doorknob hangers on Wednesday, and create designs using Perler beads to be fused into fun trinkets on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
