The Library’s featured artist for November, Phoebe Barron, is one of 73 artists whose artworks are showcased in HMVC Gallery New York’s Vibrant Visions Virtual Group Exhibition, a digital art show running from November 1st to November 30th. You can visit the HMVC website to see her piece Maze displayed in a virtual art gallery along with the works of the other artists, or see it in person in the Library’s Community Room as part of her “Lines, Angles, and Reflections in Architecture” display!

Thank you to our local veterans for your service!
Do you need Community Service Hours or just want to learn something new? Clark Memorial Library is once again partnering with the Warm Up America Foundation to create warm blankets for those in need. The goal is to create 7″x9″ knit or crocheted squares that can later be joined together to make blankets of various sizes. This is a perfect way to practice your knitting and/or crochet skills, but no prior experience is needed – we will provide instructions and materials. Drop in to work with us on Thursday afternoons between 3:00 to 4:00 PM. For ages 10 and up.
It’s Dinovember! This month at Clark Memorial Library, our displays are filled with books featuring dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, early humans, fossils, and paleontology. Whether you want to learn about the ancient past or just enjoy stories that use bits of it as a backdrop, we have something for you – including a Museum Pass for the Dinosaur State Park Exhibit Center.
The staff of Clark Memorial Library wishes all of our patrons a safe and happy Halloween night, whether you’re planning to celebrate today or already got your trick-or-treating in over the weekend!
Clark Memorial Library and the Arts@Clark! Arts in the Library Committee’s 4th Annual Outdoor Art Exhibit in August was a huge success! We’ve put together a video to commemorate the event, which you can view on the Library’s website or on our YouTube channel. Thank you once again to all the artists who took part, the organizers and staff who helped plan and run the Exhibit, and especially to everyone who attended!
It’s the spookiest month of the year!
Check out our themed book displays, which are now packed with stories starring goblins, ghosts, and ghouls – and of course, plenty of Halloween tales for all ages.
The amazing results of the All Together Now! House-Building Project are now available in the Children’s Room as a physical book! Ask at the check-out desk and you can browse through it to see individual pictures of every house created for the project, as well as shots that show them off as part of the model town of Clarkville!
There’s a new storywalk to check out at Clark Memorial Library! In celebration of fall, we are featuring six poems about some of the best things about the season, from watching the leaves change color and drift to the ground… to jumping into a big pile of them!
