Every time you read a book this summer, whether it’s for the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge, a school assignment, or just for fun, you can add a footprint to our footprint path! We’ve already made it all the way around the first bookshelf in the children’s section; how much further do you think we can get the path to reach?

2022 Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge

It’s the time of year to encourage students to participate in CONNECTICUT READS, the 2022 Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge! Visit the library in person to get a Summer Reading Journal, and check out our new digital media app, Palace, where digital copies of many of the GSRC Suggested Summer Reading books are available.

  • Stop in to get your reading booklet in the Children’s Room.
  • Pick 12 of the reading activities to complete.
  • Return it to the library by  August 15 to earn a chance to pick from our mystery prize box!
